Mark Jenkinson MP for Workington constituency has returned to Westminster today to vote in person for the Brexit Deal.
Following the news that the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson has successfully agreed a Brexit deal to leave the European Union, Parliament has been recalled today, 30th December, to allow MPs to vote on the proposed deal.
Mark said ‘As the Member of Parliament for the Workington constituency I thought it was extremely important that I voted in person for the Brexit Deal. It is my job to represent my constituents in Westminster and it was right that I returned when Parliament was recalled.
I am delighted that a deal has been agreed, a deal that ensures that we take back control of our laws, our money, our borders, our fish and our trade. The deal ensures that we will leave the single market along with the customs union and we will end free movement. This is a very good day for Britain, and I am delighted to be voting for this deal in person.’
