MARK Jenkinson MP has hailed his third annual Summery Surgery Tour as his busiest and most successful yet.
He said: “It has been a pleasure to meet so many constituents – and I look forward to helping them to deal with some of their issues and concerns. It is always a great privilege when people put their faith in you in this way.
“This year’s event has been particularly well-attended, building on the success of the two previous Summer Surgery Tours.
“This has been by far my busiest and most popular tour – and I would like to thank those constituents who waited patiently to see me.
“For those who couldn’t make one of my surgeries but would still like to meet with me, please contact my office at [email protected] to arrange an appointment.
“I am proud to count myself as one of most visible and accessible MPs – and my primary focus has always been fighting for my constituents.
“I am Cumbria’s man in Westminster, not Westminster’s man in Cumbria. The summer recess is not a holiday: it is an opportunity for me to get down to the real work, the bread and butter of any serious constituency MP. This surgery tour will allow me to do just that.“
This year’s tour has taken Mark to Northside, Crosscanonby, Broughton, Cockermouth, Aspatria, Plumbland, Torpenhow, Bolton Low Houses, Silloth, Westnewton, Mawbray, Blencogo, Kirkbampton, Newton Arlosh, Bowness-On-Solway and Anthorn.
